PT Badak NGL - Badak LNG Plant is one of 2 liquid natural gas plants that supporting Indonesian LNG business, located in Bontang, East Kalimantan. The name of Badak was derived from location of the first gas pit found to supply gas to Badak LNG plant. The construction was initiated in mid 1974 and about 36 months later, on July 5, 1977, the LNG was produced from the first LNG Train, namely Train A. The plant was officially inaugurated on August 1, and the first Indonesia LNG shipment was departed from Bontang on August 9, 1977 by LNG Aquarius tanker with destination Senboku, Japan.

For more than 33 years, Badak LNG plant which initially was designed and built for 2 plants, has succeeded with an expansion to become 8 trains and equipped with additional facility to produce LPG. Such additional facility and plant development has increased the LNG production from initial capacity of 3.3 billions tons in 1977 to more than 22 million tons of LNG and 1.2 million tons of LPG per year. At the same time, the gas pipeline are added, from one pipe line of 36 Inch to become four gas pipelines 36 Inch and 42 Inch which supply natural gas from gas fields to fill LNG and LPG. Badak LNG plant has at present equipped with 3 LNG/LPG loading piers which can be operated simultaneously. The history of LNG Badak will always become the part of Indonesian LNG industry history. It began when 2 natural gas reserves in extensive amount were found in 2 separate areas. The areas are Arun Gas Field found by Mobil Oil Indonesia at the end of 1971, located in North Aceh, and Badak Gas Field, found by Huffco Inc., in early 1972, located in East Kalimantan. Both companies are working under production sharing contracts with The State Oil Company, Pertamina. PT Badak NGL, is one producer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the world's best located in Bontang East Kalimantan which has been in operation for more than three decades, provides the opportunity for graduates to join the Engineer with the following positions:

1. Process Engineer
2. Corrosion & Materials Engineer
3. Inspection Engineer
4. Storage & Loading Engineer
5. Electrical Engineer
6. Mechanical Engineer
7. Instrumentation Engineer

General Requirements:

• Male/Female, with maximum age of 27 years old on 31 July 2013.
• Bachelor Degree (S1) majoring in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical / Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Electrical Power and Engineering Physics.
• GPA minimum 3.00 (scale 4) from a reputable university (Accredited A)
• Minimum TOEFL score of 450 (issued by the competent authorities).
• Willing to follow the Pre Employment Program (PEP) for 3 (three) months.
• Have a good health, not color blind, drug free and good personality

Other Requirements:

• Have a valid National Identity Card (KTP)
• Pass the selection process (Administration, Potential Academic Test, Basic Engineering Test, TOEFL, Psycho test, Interview, Medical Test and Identification Test Personnel)
• Write your Thesis title
